Venison Steak

Ingredients:

Venison steak
Your favorite Steak Seasonings
Butter
Oil
Garlic
Mushrooms
Blue Cheese
Red Wine

Directions:
Let the venison steak come to room temperature and pat dry with paper towels
Season the meat lightly
Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees
Sautee’ sliced mushrooms in butter, oil and minced garlic
Heat a cast iron skillet extremely hot on the stove
Add a small amount of oil
Place the steak in the skillet and brown on both sides, achieving a nice crust
Place crumbled or sliced blue cheese on top of the steak
Add all of the mushrooms and garlic, including all of the liquid left in the pan onto the top of the steak
Add a splash of red wine and place in the oven
Let it bake in the oven for 3 to 5 minutes, 3 minutes will be more on the rare side
Take the meat out after the desired time, place on a dish or plate and cover with foil
Let it restfor 5-10 minutes
